Technip Energies, Level 14 — Sanctuary of Energy

Returning to a familiar space, we set out to breathe new life into Technip’s energy hub—the floor where everything happens. Whether for meetings, casual gatherings, or moments of inspiration, this is where the team connects together, and we wanted the design to reflect that sense of movement, connection, and possibility.

The transformation was drastic yet purposeful. What was once a narrow, enclosed corridor has now been opened up, making way for a space that feels alive with energy. The curved ceiling design represents this dynamic flow, guiding movement through the space. We kept the signature terracotta tones, but with a bolder presence, ensuring continuity while embracing a fresh new identity.

A key shift was bringing ‘The Ark’ to the forefront—once tucked away, it now takes center stage, allowing Technip to showcase its legacy with pride. Meanwhile, the refreshment counter has been completely reimagined, evolving into a welcoming coworking lounge with a dry pantry, perfect for both work and casual interactions.

To weave in a sense of place, we introduced Malaysian influences—Peranakan-inspired murals, floral motifs, rattan furniture, and decorative pendant lighting—creating a workplace that fosters a sense of connection and belonging. We also redefined workspaces, shifting from traditional individual desks to an agile setup with hot desking, lockers, and height-adjustable ergonomic tables, giving employees the flexibility to work how they choose.

At the back, the pantry has been designed with a Malaysian twist, blending functionality with cultural elements. We incorporated rattan pendant lights for a warm, natural ambiance, while murals of Malaysia’s national flower, the hibiscus, adorn the walls, adding a vibrant local touch. A tiled backsplash enhances the countertop, bringing texture and visual interest, while strategically placed furniture ensures a seamless and comfortable experience for employees—whether they’re taking a break, having an impromptu meeting, or simply enjoying the space.

More than just a design update, this transformation sets the stage for a new era at Technip Energies—one where collaboration, innovation, and history come together in a space that truly feels like the heart of the company.
